Distance Learning Module in journalism First time at NPI

Working journalists in Nepal can get Advance Distance Learning Course on News reporting. One is the 3 months long radio course "Advanced Skills on Radio News and Interview", the other is the 6 month long print media course "In-depth News Reporting - day to day Investigation and narrative story telling".

First Time in Nepal
Specially, the journalists who cannot spare long and specific hours in class are targeted for the training program, first of this kind in Nepal. The training will provide practical knowledge and skills using distance learning module with the help of cyber technology. 


Proactive Approach
Participants will learn advance know-how on news writing with proactive approach. Being guided by experienced e-trainers’ guidelines, participants will be in the field most of the time sharpening their skill. Implying Proactive Approach, the participants will be able to make a creative leap in their day to day journalism and taste the real taste of journalism.

Affordable Cost
The six month long training will cost Rs. 15,000.00 for print journalists and Rs. 16,000.00 for radio journalists. The participants do not have to pay extra money for invaluable related reading materials. Two eligible participants have a chance to be benefited with scholarship opportunity.


Learning at Home
The major part of learning will be at home, based on on-line instructions and assignments. The participants will have flexible time-line to submit the assignments. The participants will be provided essential reference materials at the beginning of the course. The participants submit their assignments via e-mail or CD within certain deadline. The trainers provide feedback through e-mail.


Face-to-Face Sessions!
There advanced courses offer both short face-to-face modules and distance learnig modules with practical assignments, feedback and on-line classes. During the face-to-face modules will the participants be able to exchange their experiences as well as problems and to interact with the trainers directly.


Easy Enrolment

The Courses start at NPI & RMRC's from January to June and July to December.
