Danida/Hugou
This was the end of the third phase of the NPI/RMRC project under DANIDA support to independent media. The Danida/Hugou, which has been supporting NPI for the last 10 years, is the major partner of NPI and deserves sincere appreciation for its support which has been substantial in the overall development of Nepal's media.
MS-Nepal
MS-Nepal, a Danida-supported INGO, is also one of the prominent partners, working with RMRC Nepalgunj for the last four years. This support has been instrumental in establishing Radio Bheri F. M., a community-based radio station in the mid-western region of the country-- which is considered as the hotbed of the violent conflict.

IMPACS
NPI received another noteworthy support this year from IMPACS, a Canadian INGO, in the areas of conflict reporting. A very innovative concept was formulated by NPI to encourage journalists to work in teams and to visit conflict-affected areas for team reporting. The concept materialized with funds from IMPACS.

DSJ
The Danish School of Journalism has been continuously providing technical support and consultation to NPI since the last 3 years. The support continued this year.

NPI feels great pride for being entrusted to conduct BBC Monitoring Services for the last two years. The main task under the program is to report the major national events and activities regularly to the International Center of the BBC in London. This program has helped in promoting NPI's image in the international arena.
UNESCO
As in the previous years, UNESCO supported NPI to carry out interaction program on the occasion of International Press Freedom Day on May 3rd.
National and Local partnership projects:
